TOM RENAUD

Tom is a contemporary folksinger, songwriter and acoustic guitarist who's been playing for about 40 years, and he's written a couple of hundred songs. He’s played in venues ranging from small concert halls to schools, churches, conferences, restaurants, coffee houses, and occasionally large events in Nova Scotia, Ireland, and various corners of the U.S. He’s made numerous recordings over the past 20 years, including a collaborative CD with the Canadian duo Evans and Doherty. Lately he’s been focusing more intensely on solo guitar (one of his most recent albums, Walden Farewell, is intrumentals), but his repertoire ranges from Irish harp melodies and the Beatles to his own folk-inflected originals such as "Ripened Fields of Corn," which garnered him a spot as a finalist in the 2007 Great American Song Contest.
