A New York-based solo electric bassist/singer and sometimes acoustic guitarist makes the western trip at least once a year to visit family and friends.

Back home in the Big Apple, she rocks the joint with her band Grace Beats Karma, but out west she lets her coffee house freak flag fly -- the music is sometimes, she admits, "strange and dramatic," but it never wanders too far from its folk/country/rock roots.

Her bass thumps like a great, twisted heart and she's got a voice you could fry an egg on, all heartbreak and husky promise.
