Born in Maebashi, Japan, Kai began his musical odyssey playing electric bass at 15, and soon moved on to the Warr guitar, before settling on a custom beauty called the Beartrax, which sort of looks two twelve-string guitars making love.

Kai's musical taste and style ranges from jazz, progressive metal, rock, pop to electronic music.

These days, he lives in LA, where he continues to work as a touring and studio musician, as well as teaching seminars and clinics in U.S.A., Europe & Asia
